Specifications

I. Working principle

The carbon dioxide sensor uses the property of carbon dioxide gas to absorb infrared rays, so in terms of structure, an infrared radiation source and a very sensitive infrared radiation receiver are installed at both ends of the sensor probe tube. The receiver is able to accept infrared radiation that is not completely absorbed by carbon dioxide. The infrared radiation source consists of a hot metal wire. Due to the thermal effect of infrared radiation, the infrared radiation receiver can measure the increase in temperature caused by infrared radiation that is not absorbed by carbon dioxide. The higher the carbon dioxide content in the probe tube, the less infrared radiation that can be received by the infrared radiation receiver, and the corresponding temperature increase will be smaller. The receiver will output an amplified electrical signal due to temperature changes and transmit it to the data collector.

II. Specifications

Measuring range: 350 to 10,000 ppm.

Accuracy: ±50 ppm, ±5%,

temperature range -40-85 degrees.

III.Structure and function

  1. The sensor terminal comes with a 1.8-inch color LCD screen.
  2. The sensor terminal is equipped with 5 function buttons. The operation interface is simple and convenient.
  3. The sensor terminal supports high-speed USB data channel, which enables high speed transmission of the data from the terminal to other devices such as PC, tablet or mobile phone.
  4. The sensor terminal supportswireless communication with experimental terminals.
  5. The sensor terminal has a built-in removable batterywith a capacityof 1800mAh.
  6. The sensor terminal is designed with a hidden buckle sensor interface to support combined experiments with other sensors.
  7. The sensor terminal has designed a fixation spot to get itfixed on the iron frameconveniently and combined with traditional lab equipment for experiments.
  8. The sensor terminal supports the latest operating systems, such as iOS, Android, windows operating systems, etc.

IV.Typical applications

This sensor can measure the concentration of carbon dioxide gas in various biological and chemical experiments. Typical examples include: changes in CO2 concentration during plant photosynthesis, measuring the content of CO2, and studying chemical reactions involving or generating CO2.

V.Caution

This product is suitable for educational use only and is not suitable for industrial, medical, research, or commercial applications.

VI.Usage Tips

  1. Do not place the sensor directly in the liquid. This sensor is designed to measure the concentration of carbon dioxide in gaseous and non-solution liquids.
  2. When the carbon dioxide sensor is not in use, place it vertically. This is very important for storing and maintaining the sensor. Incorrect placement methods will reduce the service life of the sensor.
  3. The storage temperature range of the carbon dioxide sensor probe is: -40 — 70°C.
  4. The working temperature range of the carbon dioxide sensor probe is: 0 — +50°C.
  5. Response time: 95% of readings completed within 120 seconds.
