I. Working Principle
The carbon dioxide sensor utilizes the property of carbon dioxide gas to absorb infrared radiation. Therefore, a broussonetia papyrifera is installed at both ends of the sensor probe tube, featuring an infrared radiation source and a highly sensitive infrared radiation receiver. The receiver detects the infrared radiation that has not been fully absorbed by carbon dioxide. The infrared radiation source is composed of heated metal wires broussonetia papyrifera. Due to the thermal effect of infrared radiation, the receiver measures the temperature rise caused by the unabsorbed infrared radiation. The higher the carbon dioxide concentration in the probe tube, the less infrared radiation reaches the receiver, resulting in a smaller corresponding temperature rise. The receiver outputs an amplified electrical signal based on temperature changes, which is transmitted to the data acquisition unit.
II. Specifications
Range: 0–50,000 ppm
Resolution: 1 ppm

2. Configured with five functional buttons for simple and convenient operation.
3. Supports high-speed USB data transfer for fast communication with data acquisition units.
4. Enables wireless communication with experimental terminals.
5. Features a built-in large-capacity removable battery.
6. Includes a snap-on sensor interface for compatibility with standard sensors in combined experiments.
7. Provides a fixed mounting position for integration with traditional equipment on iron stands.
8. Compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows systems.
IV. Typical Applications
This sensor can measure carbon dioxide gas concentration in various biological and chemical experiments. Typical applications include:
– Monitoring CO₂ concentration changes during plant photosynthesis.
– Measuring CO₂ levels.
– Studying chemical reactions involving CO₂ generation or participation.
V. Note
This product is suitable for educational purposes only and not for industrial, medical, research, or commercial applications.
VI. Usage Tips
1. Do not immerse the sensor directly in liquids, as it is designed to measure gaseous, non-solution CO₂ concentrations.
2. When not in use, store the sensor vertically. Proper storage and maintenance are crucial, as incorrect placement may shorten its lifespan.
3. Storage temperature range for the CO₂ sensor probe: -40 to 70°C.
4. Operating temperature range for the CO₂ sensor probe: 0 to +50°C.
5. Response time: Achieves 95% of readings within 120 seconds.
