Specifications
I. Working principle
The wireless digital motion sensor consists of a transmitting module and a receiving module. The transmitting module is powered by a lithium battery, and the receiving module is connected to a data collector. During measurement, the emitter emits an infrared pulse and an ultrasonic pulse (i.e. a short-duration beam of infrared ray and an ultrasonic wave) simultaneously to the receiver. The timing starts when the receiver receives the infrared ray and ends when it receives the ultrasonic pulse. According to The time difference between the two and the speed of sound in the air (the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves is 324m/s) is used by the microprocessor in the receiver to calculate the distance between the emitter and the receiver (the propagation time of infrared rays can be ignored, and its propagation speed is speed of light).

IV.Typical applications
Wireless digital motion sensors are a type of high-precision, small-range linear sensors that use ultrasonic waves to measure position. It is suitable for the study of uniform velocity, uniformly accelerated linear motion, free fall motion, spring oscillator, etc.
V.Caution
This product is suitable for educational use only and is not suitable for industrial, medical, research, or commercial applications.
VI.Usage Tips
- The wireless digital motion sensor is composed of an ultrasonic receiving module and a transmitting module. When in use, the displacement receiving module is connected to the data collector, and the transmitting module is fixed with the moving object (or used as a moving object). Turn on the switch behind the transmitting module to measure.
- After use, turn off the switch of the displacement sensor transmitting module; when the transmitting module is used as a free-falling object, place a shock-absorbing recovery device to avoid damaging the sensor.
